JnK Whitewater Rafting
For those indulging in river rafting there is no better place than the meandering waters of River Lidder in and around Pahalgam. Whitewater Rafting which in essence is the act of taking a raft down through the turbulent areas of a river has caught on the fancy of tourists traveling to the state. Apart from Lidder River, Zanskar River in the Ladakh region also offers opportunities for rafting though it figures high on the challenging list.
JnK Angling :
Angling which is recreational fishing, done manually by operating a rod, reel and line is fast catching up as a Popular Sport in Jammu & Kashmir. Many lakes especially in and around Pahalgam provide the opportunity of angling.

For trekkers, J & K is an absolute Eldorado. The terrain starting from the Shivalik hills of Jammu to the rugged mountaineous regions of Ladakh is a trekker`s delight. Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Leh, Padam, Kishtwar and Doda are few important bases for trekking.
